I did a run down to TN after a ans was running 230* in 85* weather (running empty mind you).normally it runs under 200*. I know about where the tranny runs depending on hold warm it is outside and it is very predictable. Now, I also have a temp guage on the 5600. And the MTL is the correct fluid for the NV5600, the MT-90 is the fluid for the NV4500. OK, having read a bunch of threads as of late about overfilling the NV5600 by a quart (as recommended by a reputable and popular trans shop), I decide to take the plunge.I had around 15k on the redline in the tranny, decide 3k ago to drain and refill with fresh redline MTL and overfill by the quart as recommended. I have around 93k on it currently.have changed the fluids about 8 times so far.and not on any schedule either! I ran the intial OE fill to 50k, then a refill of PZ to 70k, then changed three fills of RP and two of redline within 4k, followed by my most recent fill of redline.had issues with RP synchromax and did several flushes to get it out of the system. OK, I'll start by saying that this is post is what I have found in my truck.your results may vary!!
